What is Engine Sensor Overview and Functions about?
Sensors provide input information to the engine control module (ECM) to control engine operation and inform the operator. Temperature, pressure, coolant level, throttle position, and speed timing sensors continuously monitor their respective systems and send data to the ECM. The ECM uses this sensor data to adjust the fuel rate, protect the engine, and maintain accurate throttle position.
