What is The loss of br from thin-film samples during X-ray fluorescence analysis about?
## Abstract The loss of Br during X‐ray fluorescence analysis presents problems in thin‐film determinations such as those employed in this laboratory for environmental particulate samples and in machine calibration with spotted filter standards. The occurrence of Br losses is easily overlooked unless appropriate measures are taken during calibration and analysis. Losses may be reduced to __c.__ 2% by sealing the samples with adhesive tape, and by limiting the duration of the analysis to several minutes.
