What is Fish-Eating Anemone Overview about?

Urticina piscivora is a large sea anemone found in coastal waters from Alaska to California. It can grow up to 20 cm tall and attaches itself to rocky areas with strong currents. Unlike most other anemones, it is capable of capturing and eating small fish and shrimp using its stinging tentacles. It reproduces sexually and the larvae disperse via ocean currents before settling. While mostly stationary, it is able to detach and reposition itself rapidly when threatened by predators such as starfish.
