This ziyarat is a ritual recitation for visiting the shrine of Imam al-Husayn. It begins by sending salutations of peace upon the prophets from Adam to Muhammad, and their relatives including Imam Ali and Imam al-Husayn. It bears witness to their righteous acts and leadership. It sends curses upon those who killed Imam al-Husayn and calls upon Allah to bless Muhammad and his family. It ends by again sending peace upon Imam al-Husayn and his relatives.
