Detroit Diesel has introduced a new unitized valve adjusting screw assembly for Series 60 engines, which permanently combines the button with the screw, replacing all previous designs. This change, effective December 2000, eliminates the need for separate screws, buttons, and clips, and the new assemblies must be replaced as a complete unit. Service tools and procedures remain unchanged, and the former style components will no longer be serviced.
