What is Jean (Hans) Arp about?

Hans Arp was a German-French artist born in Alsace in 1886. He studied art in Germany and France but felt the instruction was too academic. After moving to Switzerland in 1916, he helped found avant-garde art groups and collaborated with many influential artists. Arp is known for his abstract collages and sculptures made from found natural materials that aimed to capture the essence of forms in nature.
