About this document

Field-Induced Partial Disorder in A Shastry-Sutherland Lattice by Neeraj is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Field-induced magnetic behavior was studied in the Shastry-Sutherland lattice material BaNd2ZnS5. Single crystal neutron diffraction revealed a 2-Q antiferromagnetic order below 2.9K arising from orthogonal Ising spins on the Nd atoms. Applying a field along [1-1 0] decoupled the magnetic sublattices, with one sublattice suppressed above 1.7T, indicating partial disorder. Magnetization measurements constructed the H-T phase diagram, showing a partially disordered dimer liquid state.
