This study evaluates the impact resistance and compression after impact (CAI) strength of thermoplastic nanofiber-toughened carbon/epoxy composites with different lay-up configurations. The results indicate that while the addition of polyether block amide (PEBA) nanofibers significantly reduces damage area during low-velocity impacts, it has limited effects on CAI strength, particularly in cross-ply and quasi-isotropic composites.
