Wasim Akram criticized the PCB for treating Pakistani cricketers like "schoolboys" with strict disciplinary measures. Akram said constant changes in policy have stunted player development and too much focus on discipline can reduce confidence. He argued that young players should have freedom to interact with international players and learn, as they are mature professionals, not children. Akram launched his foundation in Karachi with support from other former and current Pakistani players.
