For safety reasons, the South Entrance of Dupont Circle Metro Station will close in February 2012 for 10 months to replace the three escalators. The station will remain open via the North Entrance. Additional staffing will monitor station systems and equipment to minimize delays and inconvenience during the closure. Outreach to notify customers and communities has included meetings with stakeholders, businesses, and advisory groups since July 2011. The project will cost $13 million.
