This study evaluated the feasibility of using fallen tea leaves as litter for broiler rearing. 180 broilers were reared on rice husk, sawdust, wood shavings or chopped tea leaves litter. Broilers on sawdust litter attained the highest body weight. Litter cost was lowest using chopped tea leaves. Moisture absorption was highest for chopped tea leaves litter. It was concluded that fallen tea leaves have potential to reduce litter costs for broiler rearing.
