About this document

Stress Distribution in Maxillary Teeth by Aadhirai Gopinath is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study used finite element models to evaluate the stress distribution and displacement of maxillary anterior teeth during en-masse intrusion and retraction with different combinations of mini-implants and retraction hooks. The study found tensile stresses in the cervical region and various tooth movements including lingual crown tipping, bodily movement, lingual root tipping, intrusion, and extrusion. The nature of stresses changed from tensile to compressive from the cervical area to the apical area. D
