## Abstract The numerical method for solving the dynamical problems of the theory of elasticity in two‐dimensional arbitrary shaped regions is proposed. The developed method consists of two main stages. The first one deals with the numerical grid generation. **The** method for creating the regular two dimensional grids based on equations of longitudinal plate deformation is presented.
