What is Nihms 1508390 Cell about?
This study used single-cell RNA sequencing of 33 melanoma tumors and computational analyses to identify a cancer cell program expressed by malignant cells that is associated with T cell exclusion and immune evasion. This program predicts clinical responses to anti-PD-1 therapy in an independent cohort of 112 melanoma patients. The study also found that CDK4/6-inhibition represses this program, induces senescence in malignant cells, and enhances the effect of immunotherapy in mouse models.
