About this document
Electronic Computation of Squared Rectangles by Geoffrey Ortiz is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This thesis considers problems that arise when calculating squared rectangles (dissections of a rectangle into non-overlapping squares) using an electronic computer. Chapter 1 introduces the topic and key terminology. Chapter 2 describes how a network ("c-net") can be coded in a way that is suitable for computer processing, and how properties of the net like planarity can be recognized from the code. It also shows how to obtain the code of the dual net from the original net code. Chapters 3-5 compute all po
