What is Types of Rocks Overview about?

There are three main types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. Igneous rocks form when magma or lava cools and crystallizes, sedimentary rocks form through the compaction and cementation of sediments, and metamorphic rocks form from the alteration of existing rocks by heat, pressure, and chemical changes. Samples of each rock type were collected from Mt. View Village, Lower Kalunasan on different dates in August 2017.
