What is 435. Increased Regional Cerebral Blood Flow Was Associated with Improved Illness Awareness Following 20 Sessions of TDCS in Patients With Schizophrenia about?

Background: Corticothalamic anatomical connections vary between sensory and association systems along the cortical hierarchy (Harris et al., 2019). Knowledge gaps exist regarding the hierarchical organization of white matter connectivity in humans. This study aimed to determine if individuals vary in the hierarchical organization of the spatial spread of cortical white matter projections across thalamus. Methods: Using probabilistic tractography data from healthy adults from the Human Connectome Project (n1⁄4824), the spread of each cortical area's projection topography was quantified using Principal Components Analysis (PCA) on the euclidean distance (ED) values across 100 thresholds for 360 cortical parcels (EDpc1) for each subject. Here, higher EDpc1 values correspond to a more diffuse, or spread out, thalamic topography. The T1w/T2w ratio is a proxy measure of myelin and it is lower in association cortical areas (Burt et al., 2018). We correlated each subject's EDpc1 values and their T1w/T2w ratio values across 360 cortical parcels using spearman correlation (rs). Results: We found that individuals showed a moderate negative correlation between EDpc1 and T1w/T2w ratio (mean rs1⁄4
