failure, making it important to consider adjuvant treatment. Published reports are few, small and have both supported and refuted the role of adjuvant RT. We herein present a relatively large, single institution experience using adjunctive RT with or without chemotherapy following attempted curative surgery in pts with gallbladder carcinoma. Materials/Methods: Nineteen pts (14 female) with non metastatic adenocarcinoma of the gallbladder were evaluated in Radiation Oncology between 1980 and 2003. All were seen post-operatively after attempted curative resection with all undergoing resection of the gallbladder. Additional hepatic resection and lymphadenectomy were performed in ten pts. Ten pts had complete resection with negative margins. Nine pts had microscopically involved margins and four of these had gross residual disease. All were pathologically staged according to the AJCC (1997). Almost all (18/19) had T3/4 and/or node positive disease (stage III/IV). Median age was 65 (range 38-80). Irradiated volumes generally included the tumor bed and local-regional lymph nodes to a median dose of 45 Gy (range 39-60 Gy). One pt received an additional 50 Gy by Ir-192 implant. All pts wer
