Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter born in 1907 in Mexico City. She painted many self-portraits and paintings of Mexican folklore. She went to a prestigious school in Mexico City in 1922. In 1925 at age 18, she was in a terrible traffic accident that left her unable to walk for a long time, so she began painting.
