What is Pozzoni 2010 about?

This document summarizes a 12Gb/s receiver chip with an unclocked decision feedback equalizer (UDFE) and bi-dimensional equalization. Key points: 1) The receiver uses a linear equalizer to pre-shape the channel pulse response into a single post-cursor pulse response, and the UDFE removes residual post-cursor interference. 2) A CDR-assisted logic tunes the variable UDFE feedback delay to concentrate data transitions and optimize the horizontal eye opening. 3) Measured results show error-free operation
