About this document
Oxyfuel Cutting Process Overview by Januar Target Willyam is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Oxyfuel cutting uses oxygen and a fuel gas like acetylene or propane to cut through materials. The process preheats the metal and then uses an oxygen jet to ignite it and cut through. Different fuel gases produce different flame temperatures and heat distributions that impact cut speed and quality. Acetylene cuts fastest but propane and MAPP gases are also commonly used.
