Can I read Shock Response of Polymer Composites on EtoBox?
Shock Response of Polymer Composites by Paul J. Hazell; Hongxu Wang is a book available to read on EtoBox.
What is Shock Response of Polymer Composites about?
In this chapter, the theory of shock loading of polymer composites will be reviewed. In particular, there are two central themes: (1) shock propagation in composites and (2) response of polymer composites to air-blast loading. Shock propagation in composites has been mostly studied by using one-dimensional shock-loading techniques that elucidate the physics of how shock waves are sustained given the multiphase nature of the material, whereas the blast response of composite materials has been focussed on how the material responds to an air blast, their advantages over conventional monolithic materials, and the subsequent damage caused by the wave. The addition of polyurea and the response of sandwich panels are also discussed.
