This study evaluates the effectiveness of various premedication solutions for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, focusing on mucosal visibility and safety. A total of 412 patients were divided into cohorts receiving different combinations of simethicone, N-acetylcysteine, and Hedera helix, with the C4 cohort showing the best results for mucosal cleanliness. The proposed Total Mucosal Visibility Score (TVMS) was validated as an effective tool for assessing mucosal visualization during the procedure.
