What is High Vimentin Expression With E-Cadherin Expressio about?

This study investigates the prognostic significance of vimentin and E-cadherin expression in patients with grade 1 and 2 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) after surgical resection. High vimentin expression combined with loss of E-cadherin expression was found to correlate with increased risks of metastasis and poor overall survival and disease-free survival. The findings suggest that these markers could serve as independent predictors of prognosis in pNET patients.
