What is Al Noor Mosque: A Cultural Landmark about?

The Al Noor Mosque in Sharjah was built between 2003-2005 by order of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed al Qassimi. It can house 2,200 people for prayer and was influenced by classical Turkish Ottoman architecture. The interior features 34 domes constructed from concrete and decorated with stained glass. It has two 52m tall minarets and areas for worshippers to wash before prayer.
