Chaudhry Rahmat Ali was the founder of the Pakistan National Movement. He was born in 1895 and studied in Lahore and England, obtaining degrees with honors. In the 1930s, while living in Cambridge, he established the Pakistan National Movement and coined the term "Pakistan" in a pamphlet in 1933. He advocated for an independent Muslim homeland in northern India. Pakistan was eventually established in 1947. Rahmat Ali continued advocating for Kashmir until his death in 1951.
