This case report presents a technique for removing a separated endodontic instrument from the root canal of a patient. During endodontic retreatment, an x-ray revealed a fractured instrument beyond the apex of the canal. After unsuccessful retrieval attempts, a hypodermic needle with acrylic resin was used under a microscope to successfully remove the broken fragment.
