This study evaluates the Mini-FLOTAC technique for diagnosing soil-transmitted helminth infections using formalin-fixed stool samples over a 31-day period. Results indicate that stool samples can be fixed for up to 30 days for qualitative diagnosis, but for accurate quantitative diagnosis of hookworm, samples should not be stored for more than 15 days. The findings support the integration of soil-transmitted helminth surveys into transmission assessment surveys for lymphatic filariasis.
