What is Budesonide for Eosinophilic Esophagitis Remission about?

A randomized, double-blind trial evaluated the efficacy of budesonide orodispersible tablets (BOT) in maintaining remission in patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Results showed that 73.5% of patients on low-dose and 75% on high-dose BOT remained in remission after 48 weeks, compared to only 4.4% in the placebo group. Both dosages were well tolerated, and the study establishes a new standard for long-term management of EoE.
