Can I read Copper(II) complexes with some 3-amino-1-propanols on EtoBox?

Copper(II) complexes with some 3-amino-1-propanols by T. Liǹdgren; R. Sillanpää; T. Nortia; K. Pihlaja is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Copper(II) complexes with some 3-amino-1-propanols about?

## Eight copper(U) chloride and bromide complexes with 3_amino-1 propanol and its methyl derivatives were prepared and characterized. In all cases the molar mtio of copper to aminoalcohol was I:l. 3-Amino-l -propanol, 3amino-2_methyl-1 -propanol and erythro-and threo-4amino-2-pentanol were used for complexation. The UV and VIS (50000-10000 cm-') and IR spectra (4000-100 cm-') of the copper complexes were measured. The elemental analyses and spectral data suggest that aminoalcohols act as monoanionic, bidentate ligands. Furthermore, the complexes seem to be alkoxobridged square-planar dimers with terminal halogen atoms.
