What is Schwitz Gebel 2008 about?

Eric Schwitzgebel argues that while introspection of current conscious experience is deemed possible and necessary, it is often unreliable. He highlights that individuals frequently make significant errors in understanding their own mental states, even under optimal conditions. The essay critiques the general optimism surrounding introspection and calls for a more skeptical view of its accuracy in revealing our conscious experiences.
