Can I read Nondiffracting Beams in Uniaxial Media Propagating Orthogonally to the Optical Axis on EtoBox?

Nondiffracting Beams in Uniaxial Media Propagating Orthogonally to the Optical Axis by Alessandro Ciattoni; Claudio Palma is a Engineering article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Nondiffracting Beams in Uniaxial Media Propagating Orthogonally to the Optical Axis about?

Starting from an exact expression for the monochromatic optical field propagating in a uniaxial crystal, we deduce the expressions for the extraordinary and the ordinary nondiffracting vector beams propagating orthogonally to the optical axis. We show that, in paraxial regime, the extraordinary and the ordinary dominant cartesian components are Bessel-like beams exhibiting elliptical and cylindrical symmetry, respectively. Besides, we consider the global nondiffracting beam obtained by superimposing both the components and we obtain that the requirement of global shape-invariance implies so severe restrictions on the beam widths that the whole field is practically unfeasible.

Who reads Nondiffracting Beams in Uniaxial Media Propagating Orthogonally to the Optical Axis?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Engineering.
