What is Labour Migration in ASEAN During COVID-19 about?

This chapter discusses the impact of COVID-19 on labor migration in Southeast Asia, particularly focusing on Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. It highlights the vulnerabilities faced by migrant workers, including job loss and inadequate access to health services, exacerbated by the pandemic. The author argues for a paradigm shift in policy to recognize migrant workers as social citizens entitled to health and social protections, rather than solely focusing on citizens.
