About this document
Understanding Rotacaps and Their Uses by Bharatiyulam is a document available to read on EtoBox.
A rotocap is a mechanical device that rotates exhaust valves as they open to prevent uneven heating and warping. It contains inclined tracks that balls roll in to turn the valve cover and valve. When the valve opens, a belville washer flattens to unlock the balls to roll and rotate the valve. When it closes, the washer locks everything to push the balls back up the tracks. Over time, deposits can prevent the balls from rolling and cause wear requiring replacement.
