This paper presents a novel approach using transcendental Bernstein series (TBS) to solve variable order fractional optimal control problems (V-FOCPs) by applying Lagrange multiplier optimization techniques. The authors develop TBS as a generalization of Bernstein polynomials to enhance computational efficiency and accuracy in approximating solutions. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, showing good agreement between approximate and exact solutions.
