For the Ferranti effect study, it models a 400kV transmission line and analyzes the effect of line charging on voltage regulation. For the power factor correction study, it calculates the size of a capacitor bank needed to improve the power factor of a 33kV bus from 74.7% to a desired level. Both studies are simulated in ETAP software.
