This study examined intact teeth and teeth diagnosed with pulp hyperaemia using pulse oximetry and electric pulp testing. The results showed that teeth with hyperaemia had a decreased threshold of irritation on electric pulp testing and increased oxygen saturation levels in the pulp as measured by pulse oximetry, with a statistically significant difference compared to intact teeth.
