What is Hobbes about?

Hobbes argues that during times of war, human selfishness leads individuals to prioritize personal interests over the common good, resulting in chaos. He suggests that a strong leader is necessary to develop strategies for survival and governance, as they possess greater intellect and emotional control. The laws of nature indicate that people are weak and need guidance from a ruler who understands their needs and rights to maintain order and state sovereignty.
