What is Aristocrat Sosicles: Athenian Life about?

Sosicles is a 30-year-old aristocrat from Athens who owns a large estate with many slaves. He commands a trireme boat for the Athenian navy. Though powerful, he respects democracy and votes. Sosicles lives in Diomea and enjoys captaining his trireme more than managing his estate or giving orders to slaves, who he treats benevolently. He has a wife and two sons but is often busy and lets others care for his family.
