About this document

Silane Treatments for Glass-Ceramic Bonding by Evelia Cruz Fernández is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates the bond strength between non-etched glass-ceramic and resin cement using various silane treatments after short- and long-term storage. Results indicate that none of the silane treatments significantly improved long-term bonding compared to the combination of hydrofluoric acid etching and silane, which remains the gold standard. The findings suggest that silane primers alone are insufficient for enhancing adhesion without prior etching of the ceramic surface.
