What is Roosevelt about?

Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected president during the Great Depression when thousands were unemployed and over 5,000 banks had failed. He took action by declaring a bank holiday and then reopening banks with government support to help the "forgotten people." While some strongly supported his policies, others felt they were destroying the American system. In 1940, Roosevelt accepted the Democratic nomination for an unprecedented third term due to the looming threat of World War II.
