What is Urgent Call to Address Animal Suffering about?

An animal control officer is begging the King County Council for help regarding inhumane conditions at King County Animal Care and Control. Conditions are already bad and may get worse if proposed budget cuts go through. Animals are suffering from lack of care, unsanitary conditions, and inadequate medical treatment. Staff is unable to properly care for the animals due to lack of resources and leadership issues. Urgent changes are needed to alleviate animal suffering and make better use of funding.
