About this document

Martin Luther King and Malcolm X Overview by stephen ripley is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister who led the American civil rights movement in the 1950s-60s using nonviolent protests to end racial segregation and discrimination. He believed that darkness cannot drive out darkness and hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. He felt injustice must be met with justice through peaceful means like voting rights, as violence is immoral, impractical, and does not help people understand.
