About this document

Understanding ANOVA: A Statistical Tool by Ghulam Haider is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a statistical test used to determine if the means of three or more groups are significantly different from each other. It works by splitting the observed variability in a data set into systematic and random factors, and uses an F-test to compare variance between and within groups to determine if independent variables have a statistical influence on the dependent variable. ANOVA was developed by statistician Ronald Fisher in the early 20th century.
