Chandra, a 2-year old, presented with 4 days of profuse diarrhea and vomiting for 2 days. He was lethargic and unable to drink. He was diagnosed with severe dehydration from acute diarrhea based on his symptoms and history. He was given IV fluids to treat shock from dehydration, then switched to oral rehydration solution.
