A policeman was injured in a hatchet attack in Kandahar City, Afghanistan. According to Kandahar Police Chief Sardar Muhammad Zazai, a man attacked a policeman with a hatchet, injuring him. Another policeman then shot and killed the attacker on the spot. Zazai identified the slain attacker as Mula Wali Muhammad, who was allegedly the organizer of guerrilla attacks in Kandahar City.
