The study evaluates adaptive forest management strategies in Sweden to address climate change impacts on forest productivity and storm sensitivity. Using the LPJ-GUESS ecosystem model, four management options were simulated: default management, shorter rotation periods, increased broadleaved trees, and continuous cover forestry. The findings suggest that a combination of proactive and reactive strategies is necessary to mitigate storm damage risks and achieve various ecological and economic goals.
