What is Mycorrhiza and Enzymatic Activity in Savanna Soils about?

This study examined arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM), microbial activity, and phosphatase activity in the rhizosphere of Trachypogon plumosus, a grass species dominant in Venezuelan savanna ecosystems. Three savanna soils differing in order and phosphorus content were sampled during both dry and rainy seasons. The soils had very low fertility. AM colonization of T. plumosus roots was high for a grass species. Acid phosphatase activity increased during the rainy season in all soils while microbial activity decrea
