Can I read Live Load Patterning in PT Design on EtoBox?

Live Load Patterning in PT Design by Rodolfo Chua, Jr. is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is Live Load Patterning in PT Design about?

ADAPT-PT and POSTEN both allow for partial live load patterning when designing PT slabs and beams, but use different approaches that can result in different design moments. ADAPT-PT multiplies the live load skip factor by the live load and applies it to loaded spans, while POSTEN subtracts the factor multiplied by live load from unloaded spans. A table shows that at 75% skip loading, ADAPT-PT yields the same results as 50% in POSTEN. The POSTEN approach always results in larger moments than no skip loading.
