This document summarizes a study on the role of goats in maintaining Mycobacterium bovis in the environment in Egypt. Milk, serum, and fecal samples were collected from 110 adult female goats and tested for the presence of M. bovis, M. caprae, and M. tuberculosis through culturing, PCR, and an immunochromatographic rapid test.
